I have been collecting such things since I was a kid. At that time I did not know much about scripophily. I just liked those big pieces of decorative paper which nobody else was interested in. I managed to build small collection, and then forgot about it. Few years later I started my professional career in the banking industry. At the bank I have dealt among other things with custody of physical securities. This has revived my interests in old securities, and I started collecting again. During last ten years I have been building two separate collections. First one contains certificates related to Poland, the second contains central government bonds from all countries. I have specialized in bonds as I found them more interesting than shares.

In 1999 I decided to go on-line and publish this site dedicated to Polish  scripophily. I have named it The Scripophily Exchange and I consider this name to be my trademark since then.

You will find here a lot of information about polish scripophily, including GALLERIES of various certificates, FAQ containing a lot of interesting information related to scripophily and list of scripophily related LINKS.

While building my collection I have acquired a lot of certificates which I do not need. Initially I was collecting all certificates, documents and paper money I could find, but eventually I'd decided to specialize in securities related to Poland and government bonds in general. List of spare certificates and other financial documents which I want to trade with other collectors can be found on my Trading Floor.

This is new site, based on Joomla content management system. At present I am in a process of transferring my old site to this new version, so some parts may not be working. I am also trying to make this site bilingual so almost everything will be available in English and Polish language.
